StreetNet Routable

(Hertz logo)

What is it?

StreetNet Routable is an intelligent and detailed street centreline database that details the road network across Australia in a seamless digital (vector) format. In addition to street names, suburbs and road hierarchies, it also includes address ranges and routing functionality. Derived from the same databases used to create the trusted UBD® and Gregory's® street directories, StreetNet Routable also powers the Whereis.com website and API.

Who uses it?

StreetNet Routable is ideal for corporate and government users who require maps and data for logistics, transport planning, vehicle despatch, vehicle tracking, asset management, traffic modelling or market analysis.

How will it help my business?

It can help a business save time and money in a number of ways, for example, by providing the shortest path between delivery points. This further benefits a business by reducing wear and tear on vehicles and increasing the output of delivery services.

This varies by application, number of users and extent of coverage.

StreetNet Display

(Hertz logo)

What is it?

StreetNet Display is a digital (vector) street centreline dataset derived from the same databases as StreetNet Routable. It has the same geometry and accuracy as StreetNet Routable, but because it has had all navigation attributes removed (e.g. turn restrictions and grade separations) it is much smaller and generally loads faster.

Who uses it?

StreetNet Display is designed for corporate and government users who need map data for display purposes or to enable geocoding, vehicle tracking, and vehicle despatch or proof-of-delivery applications.

How will it help my business?

It helps you to save time and money by providing accurate and up-to-date maps for your business needs. For example, it enables you to keep an eye on the location of your assets at any point in time.

UBD® Image

(Hertz logo)

What is it?

UBD® Image replicates the look and feel of the UBD® and Gregory's® street directories in a digital (raster) format, but with grid lines removed for clarity. It makes an ideal backdrop layer for the StreetNet Routable or Display datasets. The images are supplied in TIFF format (average file size, 5MB) and are georeferenced for use in GIS software.

Who uses it?

UBD® Image is ideal for corporate and government users of industry-standard mapping software who require the familiar presentation of a street directory. It is most commonly used for call centres, vehicle despatch and tracking, intranet and extranet applications, and reports.

How will it help my business?

UBD® Image helps improve business efficiency. For example, it allows automated searches and provides a direct link between the map displayed in the call centre and the driver using a paper directory in the car.

Whereis® Aerial Imagery

(Hertz logo)

What is it?

Whereis® Aerial Imagery has been captured over all Australian capital cities, as well as some major regional areas, at a resolution of 15cm per pixel or better. This imagery has been fully georeferenced and geometrically corrected (orthorectified) to allow for any image distortion from the effects of terrain. All data has been captured, processed and stored digitally, resulting in clearer images than scanned conventional film images.

Who uses it?

Whereis® Aerial Imagery is ideal for corporate and government users who require asset management, data capture, analysis and reporting, as well as users of call centre, marketing and multimedia applications.

How will it help my business?

It improves efficiencies in your business by allowing data to be captured from the desktop for example, asset management and data capture.
